Best 10 Android Secret Security Codes You Need to Know In 2022

What is Secret Security Codes?

Android is the most widely used mobile operating system in the world, with over 2.5 billion devices running on it. If you’ve had an Android device for a while, you’re probably already familiar with USSD codes.

USSD codes, commonly known as “secret codes,” are simple codes that allow you to access hidden features on your smartphone. Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) is a user interface protocol that allows you to use your smartphone’s hidden features.

Any Android security code must be entered straight into the dialer to be activated. The code will respond automatically if input correctly, otherwise you may need to press Dial.

Pros Of Security App Lock:

Phones often contain confidential information, especially personal information. Such data needs to be protected because if compromised, you might have to place a lot of trouble. Security app locks effectively protect all personal information present on your phone and require proper authorization before allowing access.

Cons Of Security App Locks:

If you forget the password of the app lock then it can be very difficult to gain access. You might have to uninstall the app and then download and install it again to override the app lock and get access to all the data.

Best 10 Android Secret Security Codes:

Here are the top USSD codes to sharpen your smartphone’s security and privacy.

1. Turning Off Caller ID:

Android users can view who is calling them thanks to the Caller ID, which gets displayed on the device’s screen when someone tries to reach them. However, there are instances when other people may want to disable this identification feature.

If you are one of them, you can use this USSD code to turn off your Caller ID. On the other hand, if you ever change your mind, you can reactivate this identification feature using the same USSD code.

USSD Code: *31#

2. Check the Device’s IMEI:

imei no

This is another important code that you can check whether the device’s IMEI is the same as the one mentioned on the box. Most modern smartphones have the IMEI printed on the back, but you can check it by using this code if you want to be sure.

Open the dialer, add in the code, and return the IMEI. If you do this on a Samsung Android device, it’ll also show you its serial number. This is important for security purposes, especially if you buy a pre-owned device.

USSD Code: *#06#

3. GPS System Test:

If you want to check the strength or efficiency of your Android GPS (Global Positioning System), use this standard USSD code.

Knowing if your smartphone’s GPS is on or off can save you in various unexpected situations, such as losing your phone or getting your device stolen. If it is active, you can use its GPS to locate where your phone is.

USSD code: *#*#1472365#*#*

4. Displays the MAC Address:

The Media Access Control address, also known as the MAC address, is a unique address assigned to every device. It’s important as it can be used to uniquely identify a computer while it’s connected to a network.

If you are doubtful about MAC spoofing on the device, you can view the MAC address and tally it on your network to ensure it’s correct.

USSD code: *#*#232338#*#*

5. SAR Level:

Knowing your device’s SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) level allows you to learn the electromagnetic energy your body absorbs while using the Android device in question.

Currently, the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) requires smartphones to have a limit of 1.6 watts per kilogram when it comes to SAR level. Using this code, you will know if your Android smartphone already exceeds this limit. If so, perhaps it’s time to consider upgrading to a new phone.

USSD Code: *#07#

6. View System and Storage Information:

This important code lets you view system and storage information. You can also view statistics associated with data usage with this code. While such data is hard to spoof, that can be done. By running this USSD code, you can get accurate information about the internal Android system on the device and the available storage.

Any data consumption on the device will also be shown on your screen when you use this code.

USSD Code: *#3282*727336*#

7. Firmware Information:

Firmware information offers various benefits for Android users, such as allowing you to know if your device’s firmware was changed, which could potentially lead to system damages.

This secret security code will allow you to bring the critical information connected to your initial Android firmware back. These details include PDA (Personal Digital Assistant), RF (Radio Frequency) call date, smartphone model, hardware, and the manufacturing date.

USSD Code: *#*#4986*2650468#*#*

8. Check Call Forwarding:

If you want to know whether your calls are forwarded to another number, use this code. That’ll tell you whether call forwarding is active on your device, and it’ll also show you the number your calls are being forwarded to. If calls are being forwarded when your number’s busy or when you reject a call, you’ll know about that too.

In most cases, you’ll only see this as your carrier’s official voicemail service. And you also have the option to change this setting by going into your Android’s call settings.

USSD Code: *#67#

9. Change The Power Button Behavior:

If you want to change the behavior of the power button, you can use this code. Instead of holding the power button and then selecting from the Power Menu to shut your phone off, this code lets you turn off your phone without showing the Power Menu.

This code can come in handy when you want to quickly shut down your device in compromising situations. Next time it powers on, the device will require a passcode, thus keeping your data safe if the device is stolen.

USSD Code: *#*#7594#*#*

10. Device Shutdown:

If you can’t perform a device shutdown the typical way for whatever reason, this secret security code is your best option. Once you use it, it will automatically turn off your handset. When you are ready to turn it back on, you will need to enter your security passcode, preventing other individuals from accessing your device’s data.

USSD Code: *#*#7594#*#*

Protect Your Data With Android Codes and Hacks:

Protecting your data on your Android device is very important. Android devices are susceptible to malware, so you must install a decent antivirus program. An antivirus will protect your data and periodically scan your phone for any malicious software.
