To begin with, we don’t refer to it as “a Reddit.” It’s just Reddit, after all. And it is certainly a one-of-a-kind website that everyone should visit from time to time. What’s more, I’m not even going to suggest that it’s merely a site that people “can trust.” There’s a lot more to it than that. There is a post that is humorous, interesting, fascinating, and foolish for every post that is endlessly beneficial, resourceful, and educational. Reddit is more than simply a single thing. It’s a mash-up of various factors. It’s the internet in its purest form. It is… okay, I’ll stop using broad generalizations and analogies and just tell you what it is. (best Reddit streaming sites)
Because its members publish items that they think are interesting, poignant, wonderful, or necessary for others to see, read, watch, or hear about, Reddit is referred to as “the front page of the internet.” It’s structured up like a convoluted matrix of message boards, although the actual interface isn’t nearly as difficult to navigate as that description implies. Hundreds of thousands of subreddits make up Reddit.
A subreddit is a specialized online community where users can upload information about a specific topic. Subreddits can be incredibly general (like r/movies) or extremely specific and esoteric (like r/luciddreaming or r/barkour [and yes, that is exactly what it sounds like… a whole online community dedicated to dogs that perform parkour… what a wonderful time to be alive]).
A new Reddit user will search for and join subreddits that pique his or her interest. Once you’ve joined a few communities, your personalized feed will appear — you’ll immediately receive postings from these subreddits when you log into the site’s home page. You can also peruse less tailored feeds, such as politics, news, and generally if you choose. You may also choose how Reddit displays posts in your feed, such as by popular, trending, or most upvotes. Oh, and nearly forgot: each post may be upvoted or downvoted, effectively turning Reddit into a self-contained, democratic mega community.

Additionally, users write comments within each subreddit. This is frequently where the gold can be found. I’m not even going to try to guess how many hours I’ve spent (wasted?) browsing through a post’s frequently humorous (and sometimes extremely valuable) comments sections. As you might expect, each comment receives an upvote or a downvote. The relatively new addition of Redditors being able to grant users digital gold, silver, bronze, and other prizes for exceptional posts and/or comments incentivizes quality posts and comments even more.
If you’re worried that a particular interest of yours won’t have its own subreddit, don’t be. I don’t think there has ever been a time when I typed something into the Reddit search bar that didn’t bring up a community, no matter how small or vast it was. To put it another way, if at least two individuals in the world are interested in a topic, chances are there is a subreddit for it (in some cases, numerous), providing you aren’t a deviant psychopath.
Like the internet itself, Reddit can be anything you want it to be. Your Reddit experience is entirely dependent on your personal interests, interaction with it, and what you intend to gain from it. And, because Reddit contains almost everything on the internet, its upvote and downvote algorithm determine which posts make it to the top of the stream, making it “the front page of the internet.”
On this list, what kind of subreddits can I anticipate finding?
My collection of subreddits will be completely dedicated to communities that discuss streaming services. For a variety of causes. One: after all, you’re on a website named streamingsites.com. Two, reviewing every single subreddit in existence would be nearly impossible (especially when you take into account the fact that new ones are being created all the time). Finally, subreddits dedicated to streaming sites can be really useful. These communities can be extremely useful in assisting you in navigating the often perplexing world of streaming platforms.
The top streaming sites subreddits are densely populated online communities of people who share a passion for a specific streaming service. They let users to publish news about a certain streaming site, track lineup changes (when a specific show or movie is removed off or added to a streaming service, that platform’s unique subreddit will notify you first), technical concerns, and the features that a site or app has to offer.
Take, for example, r/Hulu. This is one of the most active subreddit communities for streaming services on the site. This subreddit will be the first to announce when a new show is added to Hulu’s massive library of content. The same is true when a concert is set to be canceled. Is Hulu intending to introduce a new feature or alter its user interface? If you go to r/Hulu, you’ll very certainly be able to find out.
Which subreddit for streaming sites is the most popular?
Well, it should probably come as no surprise, but r/movies is by far the most popular of any of the streaming-related subreddits I’ve included on my list. I believe this is to be expected because, well, just look at how broad the subject is. How many movie buffs do you believe there are on the planet? Billions? Easily. R/movies has 22 million members and is constantly expanding. And, more often than not, a popular subreddit is also a good subreddit. You’ll have more posts, more debate, and more information to look through if you have more people.
You might be wondering what r/Movies is all about. Isn’t it enough to state it’s about movies? More specifically, it’s a place where people can share trailers, talk about current and upcoming films, link to reviews, express gratitude for underappreciated films from the last 50 years, and talk about filmmaking in general. This is one of my favorite subreddits, and it keeps me in the loop when it comes to movies.
However, which subreddit do you believe is the most popular when it comes to subreddits dedicated to streaming services? You were correct if you guessed r/Netflix! It only seems natural that the world’s most popular streaming service would also have the most popular subreddit dedicated to it. To put things in perspective, the Netflix subreddit has 458,000 users.
I’m not made of money, so how much does Reddit cost?
One of the most appealing aspects of Reddit is that it is completely free to use. There are no restrictions, no paywalls, and no-nonsense. Simply register and start reading, commenting, voting, publishing, and creating your own subreddits right away! You’d be correct in presuming there is advertising if you’re wondering how they do it. But, to be honest, Reddit’s advertising structure (and frequency) isn’t half bad when compared to other ‘freemium’ sites. Each advertisement, for example, displays its own Reddit post, which may be upvoted, downvoted and commented on.
If you genuinely despise adverts, there is a premium edition of Reddit available that does away with them. Reddit Pro is also inexpensive, costing only $5.99 per month. With a Reddit pro membership, the advertising vanishes, and you’re given a monthly quota of gold, silver, bronze, and other awards to distribute to other Reddit users as you see appropriate. If you have the funds, I strongly advise you to opt for the complete Reddit experience.
Is it really risk-free to browse Reddit?
Reddit is as secure as any other trustworthy website on the internet. To put it another way, it’s safe to a point. However, no matter what you do online, you will never be completely safe unless you use the appropriate security software. Whether you use Reddit, Instagram, Netflix, or Google, I recommend getting a strong VPN to hide your IP address (and enable for anonymous, secure web browsing), as well as good antivirus software (and an ad blocker never hurt either).
r/Movies is one of the most active online forums for the latest in film news, conversations, and impending announcements, with over 22 million individual members (and sometimes 25 thousand or more online at any given time) (if not the most active). There is literally no more up-to-date source for all things cinema, whether Hollywood or independent, than r/movies.
Hundreds of thousands of individual subreddits make up Reddit. To get the most out of Reddit, you should join the communities that interest you. However, if you join r/Movies, you’ll discover that it’s a wonderful source of news and conversation about important motion films.

Redditors share their favorite documentaries on the /r/Documentaries subreddit. Site administrators used to compile a list of default subreddits in the early days of Reddit. Every new Reddit user’s front page was constructed up of these default subreddits. /r/Documentaries grew in popularity as one of these default subreddits.
Although the default subreddit system is no longer in use, the consequences of this early exposure are still seen. The subreddit remains as high-quality as it has always been thanks to the efforts of an active moderator team. This is no easy effort, since it has 15.6 million subscribers, making it the 34th largest subreddit.

The most recent video that made me cry was of a bus driver telling the world about the Coronavirus and how dangerous it is. He died just two weeks after posting that video. That became the thread’s most popular content of the year within a few weeks. The video was spread all around the world, and it was even uploaded to YouTube. Platforms like Reddit and pages like r/Videos can be lifesavers in these circumstances.

Despite the fact that it was founded on January 25, 2008, this subreddit has struggled to gain traction and has become an average subreddit at best.
It does, however, have a lot to offer if you enjoy science fiction. You’ll enjoy it if you enjoy Asimov, Bradbury, Clarke, Dick, Heinlein, and other science fiction authors. There are 79,500 members in the group, with 300-450 of them online at any given moment. This subreddit, which features a small apple-centric niche group, was founded on September 1, 2010. It is one of the best Reddit streaming sites.
