Top 12 Best workout apps you must try in 2022

What is the Workout app?

A good workout app may help you push harder, lift heavier, and eat healthier by acting as a personal trainer in your pocket. But, with so many options, deciding which one will best help you achieve your objectives can be difficult. We’ve hand-picked some of the greatest fitness apps to use in 2022 to help you streamline your training regimen.

There’s a workout app geared to your preferred form of workout, whether cycling workouts on the finest exercise bikes, running sessions on the best treadmills, or strength training with the greatest home gym equipment. Some will be entirely free to use, while others may demand a monthly fee.

We hit download and unrolled our exercise mats to sample some of the most popular workout apps on the market to help you choose the best workout app for you.

What are the top fitness apps?

The greatest workout app for you will be the one that helps you achieve your goals, but Sweat, the best fitness app for women, is currently one of our faves. Sweat features a variety of training routines to meet any objective, including toning, returning to exercise after childbirth, and lifting bigger weights. There are also recipe suggestions to help you stay on track and the ability to track your exercises with your Apple Watch.

How can you make money from your fitness app?

There are many ways to monetize your fitness app. The first idea that comes to mind is to make your app accessible to the public but offer some additional paid functionality. This is a smart way to make money from apps nowadays – all users get a free set of essential functions, but if they want some advanced features to make the most of the app, they need to pay for a membership.

Pros and cons of using fitness apps:

Everyone wants to be fit and healthy, but not everyone is willing to work for it. Often we’ll see new members working out diligently for the first few months, then somehow fall behind on their exercise routines. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is no joke, and it can be challenging for some of our members.

If you find it challenging to stick to your workout routine, using a fitness app could help. A wide range of health apps offers something different depending on users’ needs. This article talks about the pros and cons of using health and fitness apps.

List of 12 Best workout apps:

We’ve put up a list of the top 12 best Workout alternatives, so choosing your favorite is all you have to do now.

1.  Nike Training Club:

One of the most used workout apps in the world, To help individuals stay fit while staying at home during the COVID-19 pandemic, Nike gave its Nike Training Club app content free for 90 days. Since then, the program has been free for users, and unlike the others on this list, there is no longer a premium edition.

However, Nike deleted some of its training programs, which were a popular app element before the update. Instead, you may now sort workouts by muscle area — abs and core, arms and shoulders, or glutes and legs — and workout focus – endurance, mobility, strength, and Yoga — and equipment. Filtering by time, level, and intensity is also available.

We found the instructor-led workouts to be engaging and inspiring throughout our testing, and we also liked the whiteboard workouts, which show you the full program so you can follow along at your own pace. You may also link the exercise to your Apple Music account. It’s not ideal, but there’s plenty here to keep you moving for free.

2. Lose Belly Fat at Home:

7 DAY CHALLENGE 7 MINUTE WORKOUT TO LOSE BELLY FAT - HOME WORKOUT TO LOSE INCHES Lucy Wyndham-Read - YouTube

The primary purpose of this app, which comes from the same developers as Lose Belly Fat at Home and 30 Day Fitness Challenge, is to lose belly fat. The app’s goal is to help you lose as much weight as you wish with daily activities that take only 10 minutes.

It provides various workouts based on the user’s experience and aptitude. You may sync it with Apple Health and track your fat loss progress without having to purchase anything else. Visit the Play Store or the App Store to learn more about this app!

3. Google Fit:

You don’t need to scour the Google or Apple app stores for a solution to help you with your workouts because Google Fit already does a great job.

Unlike the other apps on our list, Google Fit is designed to help you track your workouts rather than recommend new ones. You can check how long you’ve been moving around and how well your goals are developing on the app.

It also gives you suggestions for objectives based on your activity and tips on getting the most out of your workouts. Despite being a Google app, Google Fit is available for Android and iOS.

4. MyFitnessPal:

Now You Can Track Your Steps in MyFitnessPal! | MyFitnessPal

MyFitnessPal has been at the top of the charts, with leading publications praising it for its seemingly limitless features.

It’s the fitness app for someone who wants it all: it collects workout stats and records calorie consumption, helps you adjust habits to accomplish personal health goals, and allows you to customize each of its features to your liking. It syncs all of your exercises with over 50 apps and devices, and it contains a library of over 350 cardio and strength sessions if you need a starting point.

MyFitnessPal has a vast food database of over 11 million meals and a restaurant logger that ensures no calorie is missed when dining out. It’s a fitness app legend worth the premium edition’s cost, with enough features to fill this entire list and over one million good reviews in the iTunes Store.

5. Fitness Point:

Compared to the other applications on our list, Fitness Point does not offer any new features or differences. It allows you to construct your training plan or utilize one of the app’s pre-made plans. It also keeps track of and displays your progress.

Its training library includes text descriptions and animations that show you how to do the exercises. Aside from that, it also indicates which muscle groups a workout targets. More information on Fitness Point can be found on Android or iOS pages.

6. Sweat:

Review: Why I Stopped Using the Sweat App | Kayla Lynn | Seattle Lifestyle Blog

Sweat, the brainchild of Australian personal trainer Kayla Itsines, began as a series of downloadable “Bikini Body Guides” in 2015 and has since expanded into a comprehensive training software with various programs and recipes to help you achieve your objectives. Every woman can benefit from a structured program, from the new mom taking her first steps into post-baby fitness to the female trying to acquire greater confidence in the gym’s weight room.

Kayla herself and Kelsey Wells, Chontel Duncan, Britany Williams, and Stephanie Sanzo are among the trainers. If you want to add a barre session to your schedule, you may quickly change your program and take on-demand sessions. The workouts are also Apple Watch compatible. Although new users can sign up for a 7-day free trial, there is no free version of the app.

During our testing, we enjoyed the variety of workouts. Still, we found it annoying to bend down and manually skip between exercises, but it wasn’t enough to keep us from using the app regularly. We’d also argue that this app is mainly targeted toward women, but there’s no reason why men couldn’t benefit from the workouts.

7.  Daily Yoga:

Daily Yoga App —— The Worldwide Leading Yoga App - YouTube

This program, like Pocket Yoga, is great for anyone who doesn’t have time to attend courses. Daily Yoga differs from its alternatives in that it allows you to develop a good habit of practice consistently.

It also includes a wider range of lessons and postures to practice. Workout regimens can be readily created based on your goals and yoga knowledge. Daily Yoga is available on iPhone and Android and can be synced with Google Fit.

8. Home Workout:

Home Fitness, an app specializing in giving all types of workouts without any equipment, rounds up our list of the top workout apps. It allows you to construct both general and specific workout routines, depending on whether you want to target your abdomen, legs, arms, or entire body.

Warm-up routines and stretches are also included in the app to reduce the negative impact of the activity on your body and avoid lesions. You may personalize your session and get notifications to remind you to practice. On your Android or iOS smartphone, download Home Workout!

9. Centr:

If you’re searching for a workout routine, you could do worse than following Thor’s. Actor Chris Hemsworth has endorsed Centr, an app that combines exercise, diet planning, and mindfulness to help you stay in good physical and mental form.

Centr provides daily workout videos that you may use in the gym or at home, and they cover a wide range of disciplines (HIIT, strength training, boxing, and even Yoga and pilates). Meal planning helps you locate nutritious, delicious dishes, while guided meditations and sleep recommendations help you relax and unwind.

We enjoyed the range of lessons accessible on the app during testing but wished there was a way to play our music throughout classes. We also wished there was a way to download workouts for times when the gym’s wifi was down.

10. Six Pack in 30 Days:

Get "6 PACK" ABS in 30 Days || ABS WORKOUT CHALLENGE! - YouTube

Six Pack in 30 Days is another workout software that attempts to help you become a habit. It makes a bold promise: you’ll have a six-pack in 30 days!

It also gives you the option of choosing between two ambitious goals: reducing belly fat or achieving rock-hard abs. It will then design a 30-day strategy for you to achieve your objective.

The app includes many videos and animations that demonstrate how to complete each activity and reminders that remind you to do your sit-ups. Download it to your Android or iOS phone or tablet today!

11. Workout Trainer:

This personal voice trainer also makes working out at home more convenient. Training Trainer is a great workout program that doesn’t require any equipment and adjusts to your fitness level.

It includes a variety of workout strategies, making it excellent for individuals who want to try out several methods to see which ones work best for them. One of these is the 7-minute workout from the prior app. Both iOS and Android users can get Workout Trainer.

12. Freeletics:

Workout App Reviews - Freeletics APP - YouTube

The app is designed to help you work out at home without using weights or stationary bicycles. All you have to do is download the app, and it will present you with sets that use only your body weight.

Freeletics is also one of the most excellent and most popular workout apps available. It provides high-intensity training while always keeping novices in mind. The app features individualized training regimens that get better as you use them.

It also offers a wide range of workout alternatives, including over 1000 sit-up variations, but lifting routines, and weight-loss exercises. Freeletics is available for Android and iOS.

Conclusion:

We discussed what aspects are critical to the success of various types of fitness applications in this article. Building a fitness app isn’t as simple as it appears at first, but it will pay off in the long run. We at Mobindustry have built fitness apps before and can give you the best development team, QA engineers, and project managers to make your fitness app stand out.
